BJ Rule- BSc, CSCS, KCA

BJ Rule is Cofounder and Director of Optimal Life Fitness. With over 10 years of experience in the health and fitness industry working as a personal trainer, conditioning specialist, lecturer and coach, BJ is extremely able to provide fitness, health and well being programmes that guarantee you results.

Having played a variety of sports including Rugby League, boxing, swimming and football, BJ has developed an attachment to all sports, fitness and the outdoors. This attachment has led to his education and career following the same path. This unquenchable desire to learn more about the body, conditioning and performance has resulted in BJ learning from leading strength and conditioning coaches around the world (including Russian strongmen) and attending courses and seminars in Europe, Australia and the United States.

BJ believes "through education, proper instruction and hard work anything is achievable".

BJ has written articles for fitness and health publications such as Multitrax and has appeared in Zest, Health and Fitness and Fitpro.

Tommy Matthews- PTST CPT KCA MRNT

Tommy started his Sport and Fitness Training career in Sydney, Australia, where he worked at Knox Grammar School, one of the top private schools in New South Wales. He worked with the schools highly reputable athletics and rugby teams as a performance coach alongside their Olympic level coaching team.

Since moving back to England, Tommy has carried on his interest in Health and Fitness through further education in numerous high level qualifications. He is now one of only a handful of Kinetic Chain Specialists in the country.

In 2003 he set up a private web based Personal Training Company and made a successful business within his first year. After gathering experience in the field he realised the potential and the need for an Outdoor Health, Fitness and Sports Training Company. So in 2005 along with his business partner BJ, Tommy launched Optimal Life Fitness Ltd.

Tommy says: "I see Optimal Life Fitness as a very exciting venture leading the way in the Fitness and Sports Training fields. Our company offers a unique service to its clients, which provides the very best quality in training that is delivered in the fresh air, guarantees results and is a thoroughly enjoyable experience."

Tommy has recently been involved with the BBC's 'One Life' series as the personal trainer to the documentary

Sarona Taylor

Sarona's background lies in competitive sport. As an international level lacrosse player she has competed all over the world. A past Junior World Championship’s representative she has enjoyed many successes with the Wales squad culminating in the European Championship title in 2004. Sarona has added to experience coaching in the USA by obtaining level 3 reps qualifications (FTA, PTFI) in personal training and is currently working to specialize in Sports Massage Therepy. She also has an interest in body composition and nutrition and continues her involvement in competitive sport by working with the Junior National Lacrosse Squad.

Sarona started working with the Optimal Life Fitness Group in 2006 and has quickly progressed into a fantastic Outdoor Extreme Fitness Trainer, our clients have benfited from her enthusiasm and fantastic attitude to training. The success she has had with her clients is down to her constant drive for top performance and perfection.

Sarona has recently taken on a more substantial role within OLF and is now managing Outdoor Extreme parks across London.

Mark Lee - Outdoor Extreme Fitness Trainer

Mark has worked in the fitness industry for around 15 years, he holds a diploma in personal training and is qualified as an advanced level gym instructor. Mark worked at the peacock gym in East London for a number of years working with professional boxers, focussing on their fitness and conditioning from various stables.

For the past couple of years he’s worked within local leisure and fitness centres, working in particular with the elderly and GP referrals.

He has worked for the Optimal Life Fitness Group for the past six months as an outdoor extreme fitness trainer. In this time his development has been outstanding and his level of enthusiasm to clients exemplary.
